How To Make Liberian Rice Bread



Hello Everyone! I am back to serve you more cooking steps and tips, but guess what? This time we will be baking! Yes, we are adding baking and starting with one of my favorites - rice bread. If you’re Liberian, you know rice bread is always a HELL YES! Good news, we will all be learning how to make it in the usual easy steps I will be showing you. Rice bread can be eaten for breakfast, as desert or a snack. It is made from rice flour rather than the regular flour, hence, the name rice bread. It has a unique texture and taste almost similar to banana bread. For those concerned about gluten, rice bread is gluten free! Other benefits of eating rice bread is that it’s yummy! 😋 Of course, other vital minerals to keep our body in top shape comes from the ingredients I’ll share. First, let’s prepare for baking:




Total Prep Time: 20-25 minutes

Servings: 5 -8

Cook Time: 35-45 minutes


Preparing your rice bread;

Ingredients:

• 2 cups cream of rice cereal

• 3-4 cups mashed ripe bananas (peeled about 6-8 big bananas )

• ½ cup vegetable oil

• 1 /2 milk

• ½ cup of water

• ½ cup of sugar or 4 tablespoon of sugar( you can use less if you don’t want too much sugar)

• 1 teaspoon nutmeg

• 1 teaspoon salt

• 2 eggs

• 1 – ½ tablespoon of ginger

• 1 – 1 ½ teaspoon baking soda

• 1 tablespoon France vanilla


Process;

• Preheat on 350.

• Bake for 35-45 minutes and allow it to cool down for a few minutes before cutting for eating/sharing.
